What We Believe

We believe that God is the Creator and we are the created. God is the Father, Jesus is the Savior and son, and the Holy Spirit is the constant presence/energy/author/comforter/advocate in life. Jesus is the Word of God, witnessed by and with holy scripture. We believe that scripture is indispensable and necessary to a full faith. We as a church are supposed to live out that Word.

We strive to fulfill the great commandment so that we can fulfill the great commission.

Great Commandment

36 “Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?” 37 He said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the greatest and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Matthew 22.36-40

Great Commission

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit 20 and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28.19-20

The church is for fellowship, support, and growth above all. We come together each week to worship together as a body of Christ supporting one another in life. The church is a safe haven while we seek out God’s presence and people. As a hospital is for sick people, the church is for sinners. Our Pastor’s preaching and ministry is based on the idea that the Christian faith isn’t about just getting to heaven. It’s about helping you with the problems of today and tomorrow.
